There is a man who calls himself Desmond Jones. (du-du-dunnnnn) He used to have his own blog, but now only leaves comments. He's married to Molly and has several children. Everything I know about him I learned from reading his comments and I have become more and more intrigued with this mysterious wanderer.
So I must ask the question: What do you know about Desmond Jones?

I know when you use a line from a Beatles song as a post heading, as I'm prone to do from time to time, this Desmond guy swoons.
What I know about Desmond:
He has so many kids I can't remember how many there are, but it's a lot.
He works for a U.S. based major automotive manufacturer.
He cheers for the wrong Big Ten team.
He and I agree on some issues and disagree on others.
He's one of the few bloggers (uh, wait, he isn't a blogger anymore, just a commenter, but you know what I mean) I know older than I am.
He doesn't like my car.
That's it off the top of my head, everything I know about our beloved Desmond Jones.
Oh, one other thing: he's Catholic.
Oh, and just one more: Molly doesn't shave her legs, and he likes it that way. (That's the closest to a juicy tidbit I have about him.)
He's a thoughtful, gentle person, who loves his wife, and his children; he presents himself as caring a lot about those he considers friends.
That's it, and also only from blog comments.
Its a shame that you never got to read his blog. It really was a gem. I still miss it.
Let's see....
He's father to 8 children.
He's a charismatic Catholic and a convert.
He was adopted.
He and his family have lived in an ecumenical Christian community for years.
He’s very well read and articulate and has a Masters in Engineering (I don’t remember what kind).
He's musical.
He loves his wife very much as she does him and they have a really beautiful marriage.
I could go on, but I’ll close with this:
RS and I have been very blessed to know from first hand experience that he is also a wonderful, supportive friend.
WE LOVE YOU, MAN!
Desmond is the Austin Powers of the blog world - mysterious, exotic, women want him, and men want to be him.
Desmond is the snake to my mongoose. Or the mongoose to my snake. Either way it's bad, I don't know animals.
Covert ops, baby. I could tell you but then he'd have to kill you.
I know nothing about Desmond Jones except what I've learned from his long and informative comments over at a different kind of girl (AKA Raging Mane O' Hotness!)
however, I used to have a commenter midwest_hick who was a HILARIOUSLY funny guy; he took down one blog after his ex objected to something on it and although I found his new blog once a long time ago, I haven't been able to duplicate the miracle since. If anyone knows what his website is, please let me know!
Aw, shucks, Phyllis
(*blushing*)
If you want, I could send you my old blog archives. . .
But I'd say that my friends have given you a reasonably accurate picture of me, as far as it goes. (Except for that whole snake/mongoose thing; I have NO idea what that was supposed to mean. . .)
And, uh, Therese -
"He loves his wife very much as she does him"
Um. . . there really ought to be another comma in there, oughtn't there?
And I love you too, my dear. . .
Desmond, I have found comments made by you on so many different blogs, it just amazed me. Even random blogs I stumbled on to. I just wanted to see how much the others knew about you and collect it in one place.
And I liked Therese's comment without the extra comma. It's true, isn't it? :)
Oh yeah, and he's a grammar policeman too. ;)
You know, maybe I MEANT it that way! lol
