fashion police -- vertical pattern

While last week I talked about vertical patterns being more flattering, here is a case when this can be a bad decision. Look in the mirror, before attempting to go out in public, and ask yourself, "Do these lines contour my body in the most flattering way?"

And just a note about skirts: If you have to hold your skirt down so that it doesn't show your rear end while you walk, it's probably too short. Also, I think there should be an appropriate time of day to wear such an outfit as this. It was around 3:00 p.m. when I took this pic. Maybe it's just me, but this looks like something that might be worn on a date, in the evening. Otherwise it gives the appearance of a street-walker.

Hey, two weeks in a row that I'm safe! I don't do stripes and avoid skirts. For some reason.
