iso 2005

This morning I read about the top web searches for 2005 and thought surely this isn't a reflection of our world today. Sure, there's going to be a large number of searches for movies like Star Wars, but what does it say about our world when the top people searches are Britney Spears and 50 Cent. I'm assuming these are worldwide interests, because, to my knowledge, there aren't demographics on a search engine. There just must be more people in the U.S. searching their interests than other countries. Right?
