looking back and forth

For most people the time to look back over the past year is before the new year begins. For me, however, it's been all I could do just to figure out what I was going to make for dinner. Reflect? Who's got time for that? But today, right now, is the first chance I've had, so I decided to take advantage of it.

Reading back over last year's resolutions I can honestly say I had a pretty good year in 2006. A few ups and downs, but overall a pretty good year. Even running was better than ever. Last year I logged about 123 miles. That's not that great (about 10 miles a month), but it's 100% better than the years before.

This year is going to be a great year. I can feel it! For one thing, this summer my husband and I are going to Lake Tahoe (our very first vacation without the kids). It's six months away, but we've already started planning even what to pack.

Also this year, actually just last night, I started attending a different church. Different being the keyword. Think: coffee shop meets Sunday school. I love it and will probably post more about it another time. But I am very excited about this new experience.
