signs of the times

You would think it would go without saying, but apparently they must post signs letting you know that guns are not allowed at the neighborhood recreational center.
Now I don't know about you, but I don't think lacrosse is a sport that I would want to participate in while naked. Synchronized swimming, maybe, but not lacrosse.

That first sign...wow. That's scary.

The first sign makes me sigh. That is disappointing. The second just makes me think of all the interesting and potentially painful bruises one would end up with after a game.

I'm thinking naked basketball would also not be so fun to watch or participate in. All that dribbling...

I've noticed a sign at our rec center for awhile, but I don't think it's quite that big. What are the rules about where you can carry a concealed weapon? (Just in case I ever need to start packing heat)

Isn't it crazy what our world has come to? It makes me sad...

There are a lot of sports that would be fun to play naked, but it would depend who you were playing with. Plus, it would really cut down on the competitiveness of it all, because I just really don't think I'd be much up for running, jumping, or diving onto the ground whilst unclothed.

Naked sports? Ouch.

Yes, it is really scary and disappointing to see how things have transpired in the world we live in today. *sigh*

Oh, Therese. . . I really shouldn't tell this story. . .

I really, REALLY shouldn't. . .

The women will all hate me if I do. . .

(*sigh*)

When I was in high school, we used to like to 'tease' opposing basketball players by yelling "Bounce, bounce, bounce" as they took their little dribbles before shooting a free throw. It was all harmless fun, but once in awhile, we'd manage to get inside an opposing player's head, which only added to the fun.

So far, so good. . .

My school started girls basketball as a varsity sport while I was in school there. And a group of us took to going to the girls' games for fun, and carried over our little teasing habits. . .

Until one school came in which had a very, um, buxom girl on their team, and it occurred to us to call out, "Bounce, bounce, bounce" as she ran down the floor. . .

(I know I'm gonna do time in Purgatory for that; but YOU MADE ME DO IT!!)

Isn't Lacrosse that game where they try to catch the little ball in those little nets? Yeah, I can just see how bad that can turn out playing naked....
Just sayin'.
