in motion

Today was actually a very nice day (except for the 25 mph wind). So I took my camera and tripod out for a try at a fountain I've been wanting to shoot.

This one was ok, but I really wanted a slower shutter speed to get a more flowing feel of the water.

After several tries, I was getting much closer.

Finally, the effect I was wanting. However, I still haven't figured out just the right setting so that it's not so bright. I had to do a lot of editing so it wouldn't look so washed out.

I almost feel like I can see the trees moving to the 25 mph breeze.

Those are great shots. Makes me wish there was a park like that near where I live.

Great Phyllis, I love these, and it's also great you got the camera and tripod out!

I like the water blur, nicely done.

Nice photos, Phyllis. I tip my hat to you on figuring out how to get the effect you wanted. (If this were 20 years ago, I'd suggest that you use a slower film to avoid the 'washed-out' look, but I'm a digital-photo neophyte). . .

I've taken maybe half-a-dozen photos in my life that I'm real proud of, but every one of 'em was pure serendipity. . .
