learning

My class in AutoCad has turned out to be great. The instructor that was scheduled for it passed the class off to someone else and she's been great. It's always nice to go into a class knowing you're actually going to learn something.

And the atmosphere has been very laid back. I mean, sure, we get a lot done, but there's a lot of joking and wisecracks thrown around (mostly by moi) and it has made for a very fun class. But the odd thing is how quiet everyone else is. That got me wondering if maybe they think I'm just schmoozing for brownie points. Actually, it's just that I'm feeling more comfortable in my own skin than I ever have.

I used to be quiet, worrying what others would think, how stupid I might sound. I was afraid of anyone noticing me, because I knew it would be met with ridicule. I would feel as though everyone there had to be smarter than me and wouldn't want their time wasted with my stupid questions.

Happy to hear you have a teacher you can connect with, that can make all the difference in the learning experience.

Congratulations on feeling comfortable in your own skin!
Some people never get to that point!

Glad to hear you're enjoying it too!

I know exactly what you mean. It has taken me many, many years to feel semi-comfortable in my own skin. In all likelihood, your classmates are happy to have you there and admire you for the fact that you can speak up.
